Kennel Cough In Boston Terriers

When I brought Lucy home from the Humane Society in Fort Lauderdale, the workers warned me that she might have/develop kennel cough. Kennel Cough is caused when dogs and cats are exposed to poorly ventilated areas or over overcrowding. It leads to a severe, dry hack which is similar to a chest cold in humans. Your vet may prescribe antibiotics as a cure for kennel cough, which are very effective and in most cases− they completely wipe out the infection. However, the antibiotics can weaken the dog’s immune system, and make him/her more susceptible to long term health complications. Vaccinations are also often given as a kennel cough treatment. Although it seems better to treat kennel cough before it ever occurs, vaccinating your dog too frequently can compromise your dog’s immune system, making it difficult for your dog to fight illnesses on her own. Natural treatments may be a safer alternative to these conventional methods of treating kennel cough. Natural treatments can effectively reduce symptoms, remove harmful toxins, and boost the immune system of your dog. If you are interested in treating respiratory infections in your dog or cat, you might want to consider a natural treatment for kennel cough such as Homeo-Pet Cough Relief.
